We’d heard plenty of talk about Andreas Christensen before his long-awaited return to Chelsea last summer and the Danish international certainly hasn’t done his reputation any harm thus far, putting in a string of promising performances at the heart of the Blues’ backline.
Recently, they’ve come at the expense of fan favourite David Luiz, who was unexpectedly dropped for Chelsea’s Premier League win over Manchester United – suggesting not all is quite right between the Brazilian and manager Antonio Conte.
But Anfield is one of the Premier League’s toughest away grounds so ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League clash with Liverpool on Saturday, we asked Blues supporters whether Luiz should be brought back into the fold to anchor Conte’s back three.
However, our poll suggests Chelsea fans have already been won over by the 21-year-old, with a whopping 78% voting to keep him in the starting XI and Luiz out of it.
