A huge majority of the Leeds fans that answered our recent poll want Marcelo Bielsa to start youngster Jack Clarke in the Championship clash away at Wigan on Sunday.
It took Leeds until the 82nd minute to score in their 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Saturday, but they certainly looked far more likely after the introduction of the 17-year-old on the wing, and it’s clear that fans of the Whites want to see that performance rewarded with a first start for Clarke.
The Englishman is a Thorp Arch academy graduate and he has now made three substitute appearances for Bielsa’s side, but is yet to feature from the start of a game. When he came on against Forest though he looked extremely confident and almost unlocked the Reds’ defence with a curling shot from the corner of the box.
Clarke would have to move ahead of the likes of Ezgjan Alioski, Jack Harrison and Samuel Saiz in the pecking order, but he does seem to be in the form to do it. Check out the full results of our poll below.
