Spurs’ Ivorian full-back Serge Aurier has not exactly seen his season go to plan following his £25m transfer from PSG in the summer.
Rather than cement his place as Mauricio Pochettino’s go-to right-back, Aurier has found himself constantly rotated in and out of the Tottenham lineup with Englishman Kieran Trippier.
A so-so season for the defender got ugly on Sunday as he was penalised for three foul throws at Selhurst park during a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, and his missed sitter at the back post threatened to cost his club all three points.

In our poll yesterday, Spurs’ fans generally agreed that Aurier has been a bad signing for the club, with 55% of fans saying so.
With famous fan and ex-chairman Sir Alan Sugar saying that the £20m-rated full back should say ‘Au Revoir’ after he trod on the ball with the goal at his mercy on Sunday, it looks like Aurier might struggle to see out the five-year contract he signed with the club in the summer.
