The 29-year-old has long been a target for Bayern Munich, but Barcelona and Manchester United have been linked with the defender more recently. He will not be short of options this summer, but it seems a move to Madrid may be contingent on Alonso heading to the Spanish giants; something that is a possibility as he is the favourite to replace Ancelotti at the end of the season.
