Sky Sports have made the claim about the 21-year-old left winger, who can play in any position across the attack and netted 14 times in 35 Ligue 2 appearances as his club narrowly missed out on promotion last season.
And having plucked talents such as Issa Diop and Diafra Sakho from the French leagues in recent years, members of the Claret & Blue Army seem very excited by the prospect.
The reported fee particularly tickled their fancy with multiple fans hinting that it would be a bargain for a player of Claude-Maurice’s quality, while another suggested that Director of Football Mario Husillos is working his magic and one more stated that the transfer is completely risk-free.
