da roleta: Wisden Cricinfo staff18-Aug-2004Championship leaders Warwickshire’s match at Bristol ended in a tame draw, with Mark Wagh and Jonathan Trott’s half-centuries taking Warwickshire to 308 for 8 after Gloucestershire had amassed 592 for 8 declared thanks to Craig Spearman’s 237. Mushtaq Ahmed took his match wicket-tally to 13, taking 7 for 73 in Worcestershire’s second innings to set up a seven-wicket win for Sussex at Hove.In Division Two, Yorkshire clung on for a draw after Leicestershire’s declaration had them chasing 310 to win in less than a day. Two wickets each to Ottis Gibson, Claude Henderson and Phil DeFreitas had Yorkshire in some trouble, but Ismail Dawood (42 not out) and John Blain denied Leicestershire the win. Derbyshire crashed to an astonishing defeat at home to Nottinghamshire, bowled out for just 96 by Greg Smith (5 for 35) and Andrew Harris (4 for 22) after centuries to Darren Bicknell and Kevin Pietersen, and an unbeaten 90 from Chris Read, helped Nottinghamshire to 552 for 9 declared.
